ROSCOMMON COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) -- A woman is charged after her children said she abused them for returning home early.
Michigan State Police were dispatched to a residence on Polaris Street in Roscommon County around 3:40 a.m. Sunday after a child called 911 and alleged he was assaulted by his mother.
According to the victim, his mother had kicked himself and his sister out of the home for the night so she could host a party.
The children had nowhere to go and when they returned home, they got into an argument and were assaulted, said the victim.
The mother, Amber Marie Maldonado, 34, told troopers she got into an argument with the children when they returned early.
One of the children was treated for injuries.
Both children have been turned over to their biological father.
Maldonado is charged with two counts of third-degree child abuse.
She is due back in court on May 10.
