April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and this is an excellent time to call on all Americans to help us protect our most valuable resource, our children.
They are the future of our country and during this month, and throughout the year, it is imperative that we come together to combat child abuse in all its forms.
The current pandemic has increased the risk of child abuse and neglect, compounded by the challenges of school and daycare closures, social isolation and increased financial instability.
We need everyone to play an active role in supporting children and parents and creating safe communities filled with thriving families. It is the responsibility of all of us to keep them safe in the community.
