The police authorities of Catalonia carry out intense operations by an Argentine who has become one of the most wanted people in Spain. This is Martín Ezequiel Álvarez Giaccio , 44, accused of being the murderer of his two-year-old son.

The incident occurred on the night of Tuesday, August 24, in a hotel in Barcelona and the Catalan police still cannot find the suspect. The minor lived with his mother, separated from Álvarez Giaccio , in that hotel and that day the father went to look for him "to take him for a walk," according to the Spanish newspaper El País .

The man took his son to the Hotel Concordia, in the Sants-Montjuïc district. From there, he sent messages to his ex-partner commenting that he would regret the separation and then he left a suggestive message: "I'll leave you at the hotel what you deserve."

At that moment, the woman alerted the police and went to the hotel with the Barcelona Urban Guard. On the seventh floor, they found the lifeless body of the minor in the bathroom of the room.

Although four ambulations arrived, they were unable to revive him. According to the first information, the little boy died of suffocation.

A hotel camera recorded the last images of the suspect as he left the scene . Around 10 p.m., he is seen in sportswear jumping a small fence from the hotel pool. In another of the cameras, he is seen leaving the room and looking both ways before setting off on his escape.

Since then, nothing more has been known about Álvarez Giaccio, who has been missing for almost a week . The man did not contact his relatives in Spain, nor with his father who lives in Tarragona.

The Mossos d'Esquadra , as the Catalan police are called, published on their social networks the image of Álvarez Giaccio and his data: 1.78 meters high and even different haircuts because they believe he changed his look to pass unnoticed.

“We are looking for Martín Ezequiel Alvarez Giaccio as a person related to the death of his son in Barcelona. If you have information, call 112 ”, ask the police authorities.

The Argentine nationalized Spanish is an economist and was processing the separation with his ex-wife . I was living in El Vendrell, in Tarragona. According to information from the authorities, the fugitive has no prior complaints of gender violence or a criminal record .
