HORSHAM, PA — The parents of a young child who suffered abuse at the hands of an employee of the Malvern School in Horsham are speaking out about their ordeal.

Christine and Steven Clarke say their young child, Harper, was abused at the school in the summer of 2020 when Harper was just seven months old.
The couple recently told their story to Channel 6 ABC Action News.

Patch searched court records for Kendall Marie Fleisch, who was identified as the abuser, and found that the 41-year-old Southampton, Bucks County woman was arrested by Horsham investigators early last year after reports of the abuse surfaced.

Records show that Fleisch had been charged by the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office with two misdemeanor counts — simple assault and recklessly endangering another person — as well as felony counts of endangering the welfare of children.

Fleisch had a court hearing on Jan. 5 of this year at which time she pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor simple assault charge; the other criminal counts were subsequently dismissed in exchange for the guilty plea, records show.

Montgomery County Common Pleas Court Judge Steven T. O'Neill imposed a sentence of probation and ordered Fleisch to pay monetary fines.
In the Action News report, the Clarkes said they decided to speak out about the abuse of their child so that others will hopefully not have to endure the same fate as them.
